Hermès Bag Consignment Dubai - Sell Your Birkin or Kelly
Hermès bag consignment in Dubai, run as a service rather than a favour. We authenticate your bag, photograph it, agree a price with you, and place it in front of an international buyer network — while you keep ownership until it sells. No upfront fee. No listing cost.
This service is for private sellers across the UAE: one Birkin, or a collection assembled over a decade, handled within our consignment service for luxury bags and watches. It suits owners who want the strongest net return and would rather not negotiate in direct messages, meet strangers in a car park, or ship a five-figure bag to a buyer they have never met. If you need cash immediately at a fixed figure, a direct buyout is available — but for most sellers, consignment returns more.
Dubai holds one of the world's densest concentrations of luxury buyers: serious collectors, constant international visitor traffic, and clients who already know what a Togo Birkin 30 should cost. That is why Hermès bag resale Dubai sellers tend to achieve stronger prices here than in most markets. What separates this platform is the combination of in-house authentication, no upfront fee, and a buyer network that extends well beyond the Emirates.
Key points
- 01No upfront fee. Commission is charged only when your bag sells.
- 02Every bag is authenticated in-house before it is valued or listed.
- 03Only bags in brand new or like-new condition are accepted.
- 04Payout by bank transfer once the 7-day return window after the sale has ended.
- 05International shipping and export paperwork handled for you.
The process
How Our Hermès Consignment Service Works
Five steps. Nothing is listed and nothing is owed until you approve the terms in writing.
- 01SubmissionStart your consignment on our consignment platform and send your details: model, size, leather, colour, hardware, blind stamp, condition notes, and any receipts, CITES papers or original accessories. Photographs help — natural light, front, back, base, corners, hardware, and a clear shot of the stamp.
- 02Authentication and valuationThe bag is inspected in person against our internal checklist (stamp, stitching, hardware, leather, date code) and graded for condition. You receive a realistic market valuation based on current demand for that configuration, not an inflated anchor figure.
- 03Pricing agreementTogether we set the asking price and a reserve — the minimum you will accept. The applicable commission tier is confirmed to you in writing before anything goes live. When you consign a Hermès bag with us, you are free to decline the proposed price at no cost.
- 04Listing to our buyer networkStudio photography, a written condition report, publication in our pre-owned selection, and private placement with international buyers, collectors and trade clients who are actively searching for that model.
- 05Sale and payoutBuyer funds are received and cleared. The sale then opens a 7-day return window, counted from the sale date in Dubai. Once it ends, the commission is deducted and the balance is transferred to your nominated account.
Eligibility
What We Accept
Core models: Birkin (25, 30, 35, 40) — see our current Birkin handbags; Kelly — our Kelly selection; Picotin — our Picotin handbags; plus Kelly Pochette, Constance, Lindy, Evelyne and Bolide. The Birkin and Kelly together account for the core of our volume, and the full Hermès range shows what else moves through the platform.
Exotic leathers: porosus, niloticus, alligator and ostrich, with CITES documentation confirmed before listing.
Hard-to-sell configurations are welcome. Unusual sizes, less popular colourways and older pieces are exactly where a specialist channel earns its commission. Condition requirements: we accept only bags in brand new or like-new condition. Bags with visible wear, damage or that need repair are not accepted. Any mark that remains is declared in the condition report rather than concealed — buyers respond better to an honest grade, and it protects your payout. Missing dust bag, box, clochette or rain cover reduces value, not eligibility.
We cannot accept bags with an unreadable stamp, altered hardware, or unverifiable provenance.
Demand
Which Hermès Bags Sell Best
Demand across the Hermès range is not uniform: the configuration of a bag changes both how quickly it sells and what it will fetch.
The Birkin and Kelly carry the strongest and most liquid demand. The smaller sizes — 25 and the mini formats — command the firmest prices and the widest buyer pool. See our Birkin and Kelly together.
The Picotin and Constance have a narrower but steady buyer pool. They sell reliably to buyers who know what they want, without the speculative attention a Birkin attracts.
The Evelyne, Lindy and Bolide trade on condition and price rather than scarcity. Well-kept examples at realistic asking prices move; tired ones at ambitious prices sit.
Exotic leathers sell to a much smaller pool of collectors. That lengthens time to sale, because the right buyer must be found rather than waited for, but it raises the ceiling. The wider Hermès range shows how broad that spread of demand is.
This is why the reserve price matters more on a slow model than on a Birkin 25. A Birkin 25 at a sensible reserve finds its buyer; an Evelyne or Bolide depends on the reserve sitting where the market actually is.
Fees
Our Commission Structure
Commission is tiered by final sale value. The rate for your bag is the one that matches its final sale price, applied to the whole price rather than in slices, and it is confirmed in writing before listing.
| Final sale value | Commission |
|---|---|
| Under AED 10,000 | 25% |
| AED 10,000 to under AED 50,000 | 18% |
| AED 50,000 and above | 15% |
What you receive is the final sale price minus the commission. Three examples:
| Sale price | Rate | Commission | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| AED 8,000 | 25% | AED 2,000 | AED 6,000 |
| AED 20,000 | 18% | AED 3,600 | AED 16,400 |
| AED 60,000 | 15% | AED 9,000 | AED 51,000 |
- No upfront fee. No photography fee. No listing fee. No storage fee.
- The commission is the only amount deducted from the final sale price.
- Included in every consignment: authentication, professional photography, condition reporting, listing and marketing, secure storage, insurance while the bag is in our possession, buyer negotiation, international shipping coordination, and payout processing.
Trust
How We Authenticate Every Hermès Bag
Authentication happens before valuation, in person, and is never subcontracted to a third party. To authenticate a Hermès bag properly, five things are examined together — no single detail is treated as proof:
- 01Blind stampLetter and frame combination, checked against the claimed production year: unframed letters for 1945–1970 and again from 2015, circled letters for 1971–1996, squared letters for 1997–2014.
- 02Date code and artisan marksPlacement, depth of impression, and consistency with the model and era.
- 03Saddle stitchingGenuine Hermès bags are sewn with two needles and a single thread; the stitch line carries a slight oblique angle and human variation rather than machine-perfect uniformity.
- 04HardwareWeight, plating tone, engraving depth, and the resistance and sound of the turnlock and clasps.
- 05Leather grainTogo, Epsom, Swift, Clemence, Chèvre and the exotic skins, assessed by grain pattern, hand-feel and scent, plus the finish of edges and interior lining.
Comparison
Why Consign With Us Instead of Selling Direct
| Route | What you receive | Effort | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consignment with us | Highest net return for most bags; price set with you | Minimal — we handle photos, buyers, shipping | Payout comes after a sale |
| Direct buyout | Fixed payment, faster | Minimal | Buyer's margin comes out of your price |
| Selling yourself on a marketplace | Full price in theory | Photography, messaging, negotiation, shipping, fraud risk | Final price is usually lower, and your time is unpaid |
Consignment is the highest net return route in most cases because your bag competes for the right buyer rather than the fastest one. Luxury bag consignment also keeps you outside the transaction: no strangers at your door, no chargebacks, no disputes over condition after delivery.
Timing
Payouts and Timelines
Some pieces sell within days; others wait for the right buyer, which is why the reserve price matters more than speed.
Payouts are made by bank transfer in AED, EUR, USD or HKD, including to accounts outside the UAE. Funds are released once buyer payment has cleared, the 7-day return window that follows the sale has ended, and the commission is deducted. If several of your bags have sold, the payouts due to you are grouped. Delivery to the buyer — local courier within the Emirates, or international export with the relevant CITES permits for exotics — is arranged and covered by us.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Birkin and Kelly in the smaller sizes — 25 and the mini formats — are the most liquid. The Picotin and Constance are steady rather than fast. Exotic leathers sell more slowly, though the ceiling is higher. Across all of them, the reserve price is the main lever on timing.
